I'm Chris I am a ballooning mad freak who loves balloons and ballooning around is what I want to do I have flown twice since Bristol fiesta 2010 and loved it. I have been around ballooning since I was little but never actually got involved until last year. I am just very inquisitive and very keen to learn as want to know more. my motto is if you don't ask you don't get so just ask.

i have found the super FMG hot air balloon taken from last year 2010 while at the Gatineau hot air balloon fiesta
this is the Super FMG hot air balloon that attended the Gatineau hot air balloon fiesta throughout 2010, and i hope to see it during 2011. It looks great. here is information, some pics and video.
The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival (aka Festival de montgolfières de Gatineau or FMG) today announced that a new regional icon is on its way to Gatineau! SUPER FMG, a brand new special shape hot air balloon, which will also become the Festival’s trademark, will take its maiden flight this summer right here in the Outaouais.
This super-hero fits in a class all of its own from several points of view. For one thing, it is the first project in the history of hot air balloons to have been made by two companies known by everyone in the world of hot air balloons: Marcos Bonimcontro of Brazil’s RVB Balloons designed it, and Bristol, England’s Cameron Balloons built it.
This 122,300 cubic foot balloon will measure 19.6 metres in length and 20.7 metres in height, and will weigh 260 kg. Altogether, 2,675 metres of cloth and 26.75 km of thread will have been used to make its 1,264 panels.
SUPER FMG will visit several places in Quebec, Canada, the United States, and even Europe in the coming months, drawing the world’s attention to the Festival. SUPER FMG will do its first public appearance here in Gatineau shortly.
There will be a full page of information, photos and other surprises about SUPER FMG on the Festival’s Web site. For additional information, festival-goers can visit our Facebookpage or sign up for our Newsletter.
The 23rd edition of the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival, which already promises to be memorable, will run from September 3 to 6, 2010. That event will attract 14 of SUPER FMG’s special form friends.
